Well Uminafied 2012 is over and as the dust settles on the park let’s look back and review the day.
Scooters up first the only under 12 division of the day.
Then under 16's and over 16's ran.
We then saw the Skaters give it ago with the under and over 16's heats going down in mostly jam sessions.
BMX was up and it was under16's and over 16's
Everything was going along well and the guys where having a great time. We didn't see much in the heats other than Turtle try to barrel over the rail
(Photo's coming) He all but made it on the landing where he slipped off and jack hammered his head into the ground.
Fearing that his injuries would not allow him to ride in the final his Cranks Bent beyond repair and general depression
I decided that I would do as promised and complete the Dane Searls Flip portion of the day with The POV helmet cam.
Padded up to the nines as I do I take to the ramp with power and optimisum?
Unfortunately this was not enough as although I flew up to 7 feet in the air the rotation was short and well.... Watch the video 1.
After a Skilled assessment of my injuries by me and a general will to achieve my goals I stopped whining and made the statement,
"Let’s do it again"
General Moans and Pains that are the norm for me in the morning I limp over to check on how Pat was going with the minor repair of my handle bars that had not completely survived the landing.
I noticed Turtle on his feet looking around abit lost he really wanted to do his trick over the rail. I told him to use my bike but he was afraid to break it.
Then Scarvey to the rescues offers to let Turtle swap his cranks out with him so that he could get it done!
Everything was shaping up.
The Council Youth services came up to me and Advised that I did not have to do it again it was ok. Infect I think she used the words
"I don't want you to do it again"
I told her as I tell the boys.
"It's all part of the Show!"
Grabbed the mica and up the roll in I went!

And that was that.
We then saw the Finals of all three disciplines.
Scooter had a under over 16's
Jam out for 1st and Second.
Mitchell Ricktor and Ben Colman
Jammed it out.
Both pulling some Sick tricks and pushing the boundaries of their sport.
This proved too much for Ricktor as he fell and took his ankle out.
Don't get me wrong they both put on a spectacular show!
The Skateboard final was run a little earlier and we saw Wade and.... Battle it out in a 1st and 2nd jam.
This turned into a Bomb comp off the rolling and Wade took it down with a huge old school double grab!
BMX Came up again and after a shakey start we saw 1 minute runs from Shane Pike and Daniel Brown.
This was the battle for 3rd and it was Epic.
Shane the Clear underdog ran first and was styling it up over all the hips and spine!
Then DESARSTER! His tire blew out!
One of the edge pit crew ran him over a Tube and get him on the way back in the comp.
As that was happening we ran the rest of them!
Turtle was up next and he clearly wanted his position on the podium.
Multiple tricks his has not been seen doing before Tail whips bar spins over the spine and then at the end of his run I cleared the way and he just ripped a huge BARREL ROLL over the back rail!
Clean landing and the crowd just went nuts!
I even got a warning for screaming in the mica.
Hope we don't hire that guy again.
We then saw the final for 1st and 2Nd between the two riot riders Zammet and Jake Wright.
Both exceptional riders we saw them throw down some very good runs.
Jake's Turndown back flip over the pimple was defiantly one of the best tricks of the day!
Zammet went over the gap back flip and hung up but held on!
It was a great show and people where charged up for the guys!
Oh I almost forgot you zammet who started both runs with a Ninja from the Top rail of the roll in bowl.
Then we saw Shane Pike NEW TUBE from The Edge Tent come back and throw down!
He continued his Style over the ramps and then out of nowhere he throws a Superman Seat Grab over the spine!
SO CLOSE HE COULD TASTE IT!
So he went again! Didn’t make it this time but I’m sure it’s coming!
I gave him a pair of grips for his trouble that’s the stuff we want to see boys!
What a great day!
